Designing a model for the transformation of humanities in the Islamic Republic of Iran from the perspective of Ayatollah Khamenei (Supreme Leader)

Islamic humanities are considered one of the most important intellectual, scientific and cultural challenges of the Islamic Republic of Iran after the victory of the Islamic Revolution and have always been one of the main concerns of the Imams of the Revolution. The importance of this issue stems from the fact that the current humanities are mainly based on Western epistemological and philosophical foundations and, if not reconstructed and localized, can create serious conflicts with the religious and cultural foundations of Islamic society. Over the past three decades, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has also repeatedly emphasized the necessity of transformation in the humanities in his speeches and specialized meetings, considering it the main condition for the country's real progress. Therefore, a detailed examination of his thoughts and statements in this area is considered a fundamental step towards achieving a local model of transformation. In this study, using the content analysis method, 138 themes were extracted from the statements of His Highness Ayatollah Khamenei. Then, these themes were reduced to 41 basic themes in the coding and analysis process. In the next stage, by combining and organizing these themes, 29 organizing themes were formed and finally 5 final comprehensive themes were formulated. Based on these comprehensive themes and relying on the extracted macro strategies, a comprehensive model of the development of Islamic humanities was designed, which can be a theoretical basis for the country's scientific and academic policy-making.
